CADEL EVANS GREAT OCEAN ROAD RACE

We drew hundreds of thousands of participants and spectators to the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race by driving PR, media operations, social media and content strategy for the event and Visit Victoria. 

After a multi-year break of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, Wildcard returned in 2023 to deliver the marketing and promotions for the event on behalf of Visit Victoria.

Having executed the PR and Communications for the event in 2019 and 2020 before COVID hit, TGI’s 2023 remit was expanded to include all owned media, paid social, above-the-line and integrated marketing. Our work generated a 7% increase in media hits YoY and the most hits since the event’s inaugural edition in 2015. We also drove a 300% increase in organic reach YoY through the event’s owned channels.

With Wildcard locked in for future editions, keep an eye out for bigger and better results as the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race entrenches itself as a must-watch, international sporting spectacle.
